On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Londonderry (1958) alongside the west wall in the basin at Rosyth Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 7 July 1967 and completed 28 January 1970. The photographer is in the hangar between 49 and 57 stations on 1 deck looking to starboard from 53 station showing stairs leading up to the air electrical maintenance room on the left. A first aid cabinet, a step ladder, a firemen's suits locker and a fire extinguisher point are against the starboard bulkhead.
