On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Londonderry (1958) alongside the west wall in the basin at Rosyth Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 7 July 1967 and completed 28 January 1970. The photographer is in the hangar between 49 and 57 stations on 1 deck looking to port from 56 station showing a rectifier, an helicopter communications test box, fire extinguishers and hoses and an high level storage shelf against the port bulkhead. Between 56 and 57 stations is the aircraft control officer's position which includes a desk, a radio switch and control unit, various boxes numbered from 1 to 8 and a Nu-Swift fire extinguisher. The hangar roller shutter door is half open.
