The Wolf brig of war (late of the Royal Navy) making Signal and laying to, for a Pilot off Dover
This print depicts a Brig (two masts). The Wolf of 1826, which this record had been linked to, was a three-masted Ship Sloop. Therefore, it is likely the image actually depicts the Wolf of 1814 as she was a Brig Sloop. The title states that the subject is the brig of war Wolf late of the Royal Navy which also indicates that it depicts HMS Wolf (1814), as she was sold out of Admiralty service in 1825.
