On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Londonderry (1958) alongside the west wall in the basin at Rosyth Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 7 July 1967 and completed 28 January 1970. The photographer is in the senior rates' mess between 16 and 21½ stations on the starboard side of 2 deck looking aft and to starboard from near the doorway showing two double tier settee bunk units with a folding table and three chairs in the foreground. Another folding table and three stacked chairs are stored next to the settee bunk against the ship's side. A dresser is on the extreme right. A small clock reading 10.47 is on the table.
