The photographer is in the preparing space between 41 and 46¼ stations on the starboard side of 2 deck looking aft from 42½ station showing an automatic emergency lantern, a fire extinguisher and the electric range control panel on the left. A milk churn is on deck in the foreground. On the right is a worktop with drawers under. On the workbench are some cooking pans and a box of fresh farm eggs which is dated 28 NOV. Against the aft bulkhead are an Hobart mincing and mixing machine, a workbench with cereal bins and drawers under and a full length shelf at high level laden with pans and bowls.
