On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Londonderry (1958) alongside the west wall in the basin at Rosyth Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 7 July 1967 and completed 28 January 1970. The photographer is in the main communications office between 32¼ and 35 stations on the starboard side of 2 deck looking aft and to port from 34 station showing the position of the rating in charge. An outfit KMP parallel control unit, a telephone and radio exchange board and two voice pipes are against the aft bulkhead. A large telephone and radio exchange board is above ten circuit control exchange units against the fly bulkhead.
