On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Londonderry (1958) alongside the west wall in the basin at Rosyth Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 7 July 1967 and completed 28 January 1970. The photographer is in the main passageway, known as the Burma Road, between 27 and 41 stations on 2 deck looking aft from 27 station showing the open watertight doors at 30¾ and 41 stations. The sliding door to the stabilizer and plane converter compartment is on the left. In the right foreground is the encased auxiliary generator with the watertight hatch leading down to 3 deck and an international compressed air breathing apparatus cabinet beyond.
