On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971. The photographer is in the senior rates' sleeping annexe between 62½ and 68 stations on the starboard side of 3 deck looking to starboard from 67½ station showing kit lockers, a suitcase rack and a Thermotank air conditioning unit on the left with a double settee/bunk unit beyond. A kit locker, boot lockers, a full height locker and a locker with a mirror front are on the right.
