On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971. The photographer is in the pay and correspondence office between 32¾ and 35½ stations on the port side of 3 deck looking aft and to starboard from 33 station showing two desks with filing drawers under and cupboards above. A telephone, rubber stamps, filing trays and ledgers are on the desks. Two combination safes and a cabinet are against the starboard bulkhead.
