On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971. The photographer is in the shipwright's workshop between 48¼ and 50¼ on the starboard side of 01 deck looking aft and to port showing an old wooden workbench with pigeon holes racks above it against the aft bulkhead and a locker against the port bulkhead. An electric kettle, a teapot, cups, a tin of instant non-fat milk granules and other items are on the workbench.
