On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971. The photographer is in the pump metadyne compartment and torpedo anti-submarine store between 15½ and 19 stations on the starboard side of 4 deck looking aft showing shelving racks against the ship's side. A metadyne motor and control panel are against the port bulkhead. An empty cable reel, an automatic emergency lantern and a vertical steel leadder leading up to 3 deck are against the aft bulkhead. A vertical format negative.
