On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971. The photographer is in the main (No. 1) naval store between 8 and 13 stations on 3 deck looking to port from the centreline at 8½ station showing a rack containing nests of drawers with wire mesh fronted shelves above against the forward bulkhead. On the left is a rack containing nests of drawers with open shelves above. Rack J of open shelves is against the ship's side and wire strops are propped up against the hull.
