On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971. The photographer is in the stores accountant's office between 31 and 32½ stations on the port side of 3 deck looking aft and to starboard showing a desk with ledger shelves and a cupboard above against the starboard bulkhead. The desk is covered in papers and books including naval store vouchers, a "Catalogue of Naval Stores" and "Defence Council Instructions (Royal Navy)". Two packs of 20 RN cigarettes can also be seen. An automatic emergency lantern is by the side of the sliding door on which is a muster state board.
