On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971. The photographer is in the electronic maintenance room between 39 and 42 stations on the centreline of 1 deck looking into the aft port corner from 41 station showing a work bench with an amplifier testing unit and a small lockable cupboard on it and another electrical unit under it. A Thermotank air conditioning unit and an electric fire are against the port bulkhead. A vertical format negative.
