On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971. The photographer is looking forward and to port at the stores loading davit at 50 station on the port side of 1 deck. The ship is berthed starboard side to the south side of the basin. The Leander class frigate Phoebe (1964), pendant F42, is alongside the north side of the basin in the background. A vertical format negative.
