On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971. The photographer is in the main passageway (known as the Burma Road) between 30⅔ and 41 stations on 2 deck looking aft and to starboard from 33 station showing the open door to the main communications office, three filter boxes, two covered cable stowage brackets and fuse boxes on the left. A covered cable stowage bracket and a transformer are on the right. The watertight door at 41 station is open.
