On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971. The photographer is in the main passageway (known as the Burma Road) between 30⅔ and 41 stations on 2 deck looking aft from 38½ station showing the door to the combined radar office, a fire hose basket, two covered cable stowage brackets, an emergency changeover switch box and four fuse panels on the right. On the left are a fire main, the sliding door to the officers' bathroom and a covered cable stowage bracket. The watertight door at 41 station is closed. A vertical format negative.
