On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971. The photographer is on the port side of 1 deck at 45 station looking to starboard and aft showier the timber and whaler oar stowage rack fitted above the diving gear gear store and in front of the emergency conning position. The mesh door is to the vegetable locker. Mounted against the port bulkhead is an exhaust fan.
