A roll film negative. On board the submarine Sealion (1959) towards the end of a long refit at Portsmouth. The photographer is in the control room between 59 and 69 stations looking to port and forward from 63 station showing the forward planesman's position and the helmsman's position. A gauge showing the keel depth in feet is above a clinometer on the left at the forward planesman's position. A sonar and buoy control position is between the planesman and the helmsman. The helmsman's console is against the forward bulkhead on the right.
