The Cutty Sark plate
White circular plate with 22 carat raised gold decoration round edge and rim. Black and white drawing of Cutty Sark at the well. Legend 'THE CUTTY SARK' around top edge and '22ND NOVEMBER 1869' around bottom edge, followed round in a circular pattern of three gold diamond shapes inspired by the design of the nameboard on the ship. Reverse: text "The Cutty Sark Plate 1869-1969/ With the co-operation of the Cutty Sark Society, this plate has been produced to commemorate the centenary of the launching of the Cutty Sark at the Old Woodyard, Dumbarton 22nd November 1869/ Spode/ Bone China/ England".
