The Plymouth-registered steam trawler Reginald (1899) aground and dried out on the Ledge at Porth Hellick.

A starboard broadside view of the Plymouth-registered steam trawler Reginald (1899) aground and dried out on the Ledge, at Porth Hellick, St. Mary's. The tide is out leaving just the rudder, propeller and after section of keel in the water. Six people are standing on the rocks off the trawlers bows. 'PH 75 REGINALD' is painted in white on the starboard bow.

A copy negative from an original print.

The Reginald ran ashore on the Ledge at Porth Hellick on 5 July 1902. The bow ended on a flat rock, about 12 feet out of water. The stern was on rocks in about 6 feet water. The forefoot was twisted and rivets broken where the trawler struck, but otherwise no damage visible. The tug Eagle arrived from Falmouth and towed the Reginald off, which then made its way to Plymouth under its own steam.
