A starboard quarter view of the Canadian Pacific Steamships cruise ship Empress of Australia (1914) berthed stern-on to a wharf at Algiers, Algeria. Her starboard anchor is deployed and she is dressed overall. She has the Blue Peter hoisted on a halyard suspended from a line between the foremast and the forward funnel. An awning is rigged over the boat deck abaft the after funnel. The photographer is looking across a quay and the ship's stern and the top of her mainmast are out of the picture.
