A port quarter view of the Canadian Pacific Steamships cruise ship Empress of Australia (1914) anchored off Istanbul, Turkey. She is dressed overall and has an accommodation ladder rigged to her midship shell doors with a pontoon at the foot of it. She has the Blue Peter hoisted on a halyard suspended from a line between the foremast and the forward funnel. An awning is rigged over the aft end of the boat deck. The western end of Istanbul is in the background. The negative is very slightly out of focus. Negative number P83681 was taken on the same occasion.
