A port side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the Canadian Pacific Steamships cruise ship Empress of Australia (1914) at anchor in an unknown location. Her port anchor is deployed. An accommodation ladder is being rigged from her shell door amidships with the ladder suspended from the aft davit of lifeboat number 10 and the landing stage is suspended from the forward davit of number 10 lifeboat. The coast in the background is shrouded in mist. The negative is slightly out of focus. Negative number P83686 was taken on the same occasion.
