A slightly distant port side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the Canadian Pacific Steamships cruise ship Empress of Australia (1914) anchored in a Norwegian fjord. Her starboard anchor is deployed and an accommodation ladder is rigged at a shell door amidships with several boats in attendance. Lifeboat number 20 has been launched. The ship is emitting a column of smoke from her 2nd funnel. The photographer is on the shore looking across the fjord to the steep sided mountains on the far shore.
