A port side view of the Canadian Pacific Steamships cruise ship Empress of Scotland (1930) at anchor in an unknown location.
A port side view, taken from well ahead of the beam, of the Canadian Pacific Steamships cruise ship Empress of Scotland (1930) at anchor in an unknown location. Her starboard anchor is deployed, she has an accommodation ladder rigged at a shell door amidships and she has bunting hoisted at the fore and mainmasts which have been shortened by 45 feet to permit passage under the bridges of the Upper St. Lawrence River. A number of bumboats are alongside and lifeboat Number 20 has been launched. The acetate negative has started to reticulate.
