The County class guided missile destroyer Hampshire (1961) in the fitting out basin of John Brown & Co Ltd at Clydebank, West Dunbartonshire. The ship is berthed port side to the quay. The photographer is high up a crane on the quayside looking to starboard, aft and down showing the quarterdeck and the end of the Seaslug Mark I missile launcher. Workmen are painting the deck using long-handled rollers and hand brushes.
