The photographer is in the crew's mess 3E between 45 and 58 stations on 3 deck looking forward on the centreline showing two tables set up in the centre, each with four tubular steel chairs round it. Another table is folded and stowed against the end of a double row of kit lockers. Kit lockers and triple tier bunk units are on either side and in the right background are an ammunition hoist, a fire extinguisher, a fire hose basket and four fire extinguisher cartridges.
