On board the County class guided missile destroyer Hampshire (1961) in the fitting out basin of John Brown & Co Ltd at Clydebank, West Dunbartonshire. The photographer is in the operations room/air direction room/weapons direction room annexe between 58 and 67 stations on the port side of 3 deck showing a large switch panel on the left. A two drawer filing cabinet and a junction box are against the end bulkhead. A fuse panel and a number of switch units are on the right and the nearest unit has a label on the side reading 'Remove this panel for access to capacitor board'.
