On board the Type 12 general purpose frigate Plymouth (1959) alongside the south side of number 3 basin in Chatham Dockyard at the end of a modernization which commenced in August 1966. The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay. The photographer is on the port side of 01 deck looking aft and slightly to port showing the bridge wing between 31 and 33 stations. A telephone, two hand signal lamp lockers, three loudspeakers, three microphones, a stool and an azimuth repeater are against the screen. The photographer's description is "hydrostatic release port 32 station looking aft". A vertical format negative.
