Sketches of Shipping Drawn and Etch'd by Henry Moses 1824. London Docks

The London Docks are depicted by the British artist Henry Moses (c.1782 - 1870). In the 19th century the London Docks were a thriving centre of commercial and industrial activity. Since the decline of the docks in the 1960s, London's warehouses and docklands are being converted and re-developed to meet the demands of the 21st century.
