The photographer is in the passageway between 32 and 41 stations on the port side of 2 deck looking forward from 39 station showing stairs leading up to 1 deck and an hatch leading down to 3 deck with a water cooler and the hoist gear for the hull outfit 20 (asdic type 177) trunk further forward on the right. On the left are an ammunition hoist, two hoist starter panels, the door to the electronics maintenance room and the forward damage control lockers and shelves. The watertight door at 32 station is open and the forward 4.5 inch gun mount support is next to it.
