A starboard quarter view of the Italian passenger liner Leonardo Da Vinci (1925) just under way passing through Port Said, Egypt, in service as a troopship. Her decks are thronged with troops being transported south through the Suez Canal for the Italo-Abyssinian War. She has an accommodation ladder rigged amidships and a number of small local craft are in the vicinity. She is flying the courtesy flag of the Kingdom of Egypt at the head of her foremast. Negatives numbers P83937 to P83941 inclusive were taken on the same occasion.
