On board the type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Nubian (1960) alongside South Railway Jetty in Portsmouth Dockyard prior to commissioning on 9 October 1962. The photographer is in the electronics maintenance room between 34 and 38½ stations on the port side of 2 deck looking aft showing a bench against the ship's side. Above the bench are an amplifier test plug board and a test supply box. In the corner is a bench with a power rack under it, a toolbox on top of it and a telephone, a fire extinguisher, a dimmer and a key cabinet above it. A number of suppressor boxes are against the aft bulkhead.
