On board the type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Nubian (1960) alongside South Railway Jetty in Portsmouth Dockyard prior to commissioning on 9 October 1962. The photographer is in the scullery between 54¾ and 56 stations on the starboard side of 2 deck looking to starboard and slightly forward showing the stainless steel bench with wire baskets for cup, cutlery and tray storage below and with plate racks above against the forward bulkhead. In the corner is the dishwashing machine. Against the ship's side is a bench with a detergent drawer below it. On the benches are stacks of dinner plates, tea plates, cereal bowls, pans, jugs, tea pots and cutlery. A vertical format negative.
