A gaff-rigged vessel with lee-boards (possibly Dutch), and a cutter beyond, off the English coast
Medium includes watercolour and bodycolour. The vessel in front is only perhaps Dutch from the shape of the rudder, rather than the lee-boards and the rig appears more English. Though rather small the offshore rock to the right may be the Mewstone, suggesting the outer eastern shore of Plymouth Sound. [PvdM 5/22]
