A distant starboard near broadside view, taken from just abaft the beam, of the Spanish Navy light cruiser Miguel de Cervantes (1928) under way off the Portuguese coast with the light cruiser Mendez Nunez (1922) in line abreast off her port beam. Both ships were part of the Republican Navy from July 1936. The photographer is on board an unidentified cruise ship and the negative is very slightly out of focus.
