Martin's Patent Anchor
Letter from Chief Naval Constructor Edward J. Reed, dated 16 June 1864 to Mr Eden, relating to the trials conducted on the anchor.

"The Woolwich Officers repast of trial with one of Martin's Patent Anchors in Dec, 1863 has been demanded from Board Office but not yet received. The following is an abstract thereof from the Register..."
