The ocean weather ship Weather Reporter (1944) in the James Watt Dock, Greenock
A stern view, taken from directly abaft the transom, of the ocean weather ship Weather Reporter (1944) berthed alongside in the James Watt Dock, Greenock. The photographer is looking forward and very slightly to starboard into the open balloon hangar showing the cone shaped balloon protector suspended from the hangar roof. An unidentified weather ship is berthed to starboard. The ship sailed from Greenock at 10.00 on Tuesday 6th (February or March) 1962 for a 24 day deployment in the North Atlantic.
