On board the United States Navy aircraft carrier Saratoga (1955) while under way in the Mediterranean. The photographer is on the front of the bridge looking forward showing the Douglas A-1H Skyraider 139749, coded 405, in flight and banking to starboard after a free take-off from the centreline of the flight deck. The flight deck crew are on the starboard side of the flight deck and goofers are in the walkways.
