The photographer is on board the attack transport Monrovia (1942) looking aft and to starboard. Very little of the Rockbridge (1944) can be seen. Only the after mast, cargo derricks and helicopter deck of the Altair (1944) are in the picture. The Sikorsky HUS-1 utility helicopter serial 145725 of HU-4 Squadron is on the Altair's deck.
