On board the United States Navy guided missile destroyer Claude V Ricketts (1960) while under way in mid Atlantic. The photographer is in the Chief Petty Officers' mess showing seven men sitting down in conversation. In the left foreground is the British C.P.O. who is the senior rating on board. Her crew consisted of 10 officers and 164 crew from the US Navy with the rest of the complement being from West Germany, Italy, Greece, United Kingdom, Netherlands and Turkey as a mixed manning experiment. Negative numbers PM7793/8A and PM7793/9A are similar.
