A close port side midship view, taken from well abaft the beam, of the Royal Navy type 41 frigate Lynx (1955) of the 7th Frigate Squadron (South Atlantic) coming alongside the Royal Navy type 81 general purpose frigate Tartar (1960) of the 8th Frigate Squadron (West Indies) while in an unknown port in the West Indies during an exercise involving both the 7th and 8th Frigate Squadrons. Only the area between the mainmast and the forward end of 'Y' turret is in the picture. The photographer is on board the Tartar (1960).
