'Sampans careened Kowloon 1901'

An unidentified Chinese girl, with a small child on her back, standing on a stone embankment with her back to the camera, looking out to the left across an enclose part of the harbour. The funnel of an awning-covered steam launch can be seen where it is moored below the harbour wall. A number of large sampans are moored in the harbour. The distant background is a slightly hazy industrial landscape of buildings and cranes. A similar photograph to N64482.

The original negative envelope was labelled: 'Chinese little girl, child on back, H.K. 1901'
