On board the Royal Navy coastal minehunter Bossington (1955) at anchor in the Suez Canal near Port Said. The photographer is on the port side of the sweep deck looking forward, up and to starboard showing her port derrick, funnel, tripod mast and platform above her cable drum. She has the blue logo of the Suez Canal Authority on her funnel and she is engaged in Operation Rheostat One, the clearing of the Suez Canal of ordnance left over from the Egypt-Israel War.
