A corner of the harbour at Alicante, Spain with Santa Barbara Castle in the background.

A corner of the harbour at Alicante, Spain, looking inland. In the foreground and seen from off her starboard side, just abaft the beam, is the general cargo coaster Xaquin (1920). Her stern is out of the picture. Beyond her is the passenger/cargo ship Arnabal-Mendi (1929) and another two unidentified cargo ships. Large numbers of barrels and a small steam tank locomotive are on the quayside. On top of Mount Benacantil in the background is Santa Barbara Castle.
