The Queen Emma pontoon swing bridge and the Otrabanda district of Willemstad, Curacao.
The Otrabanda district and the Queen Emma pontoon swing bridge across Santa Anna Bay in Willemstad harbour, Curacao. The photographer is on board a passenger cruise ship bound outward looking north showing the open pontoon bridge alongside the Otrabanda district quay. Santa Anna Bay is stretching back towards Schottegat Bay. The quayside is lined with Dutch flags on flagpoles and the ships in Santa Anna Bay and Schottegat Bay are dressed overall. The festivities may be in celebration of the wedding of Princess Juliana of the Netherlands to Prince Bernhard of Lippe-Biesterfeld on 7 January 1937.
