The floating market in the Waaigat at Willemstad, Curacao.

The floating market in the Waaigat at Willemstad, Curacao. The photographer is on the De Ruyterkade on the south side of the Waaigat looking north-north-west showing two single masted sailing vessels alongside the quay selling their wares to people on the quayside. The boats have awnings rigged over their decks and the nearest boat, which has YWPC 7994 on the bow, is trading round fruit and stems of bananas. An industrial steel bucket is on the quay. The warehouses of the Curacao Trading Company are on the north side of the Waaigat.
