Buildings fronting the quay include the premises of Foto-Jacob, E. & C. Martijn, Vriedenkring, W.C. de Jongh, Hotel Suiza, Cafe Suiza, Palais Royal, Marchena Moron & Co, C.F. Muskus & Co. and El Cristal. A motor van on the roadway is advertising the 1933 film Pick-Up starring Sylvia Sidney and George Raft.
