The Villiers Hotel and Jubilee Clock at Douglas, Isle of Man
The Villiers Hotel and the Jubilee Clock Tower at the junction of Victoria Street and Loch Promenade at Douglas, Isle of Man. The photographer is looking north along the promenade and in the right background is the Loch Parade Primitive Methodist Church. The Jubilee Clock was erected to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of Queen Victoria in 1887. Horse drawn carriages are waiting on the seaward side of the promenade.
